Hiro Darling in the - Darling In The FranXX Store

Hiro is the central character of Darling in the Franxx, and he receives a lot of screen time. Fans of the program adore his relationship with 002 and how he deals with the thought that he may die by attempting to stay by her. Hiro goes through a lot of growth as a character throughout the course of the show, culminating in his killing himself to rescue humankind. Hiro became a fascinating character thanks to his love triangle and desperate attempts to pilot a franxx. If you enjoy Hiro, stay reading for ten interesting facts you might not have noticed when watching the anime.

In real life, Hiro is married to Ichigo.

Despite 002’s victory in the anime, Hiro is married to Ichigo in real life. Ichigo and Hiro’s English voice actresses are married, which many fans believe helped them deliver such a realistic performance when working together. This is the closest fans will ever come to seeing Ichigo and Hiro fall in love.

The Golden Bough was his favorite book.

Hiro enjoys reading, and The Golden Bough is his favorite book. He read the book as a child, which is unexpected considering it’s a book on aggressive religion that many people who study religion in the actual world refer to.

Hiro appears to enjoy philosophy and, if he hadn’t sacrificed himself, would have gone on to work with human emotions.

Married To Zero Two

Hiro and 002 are considered to be married in the series, which is unusual. While no traditional ceremony was held, this occurs when 002 travels across space in a wedding gown and proclaims that the two are on their honeymoon together.
It’s great that the show told viewers that they married, but the way marriage works in space is a little peculiar.

Naming Was A Defect

Hiro had a number of flaws, one of which was his need to name the other parasites. This was one of the first signals that Hiro wouldn’t perform well as a parasite, as it demonstrated that he was once again too daring for PAPA to totally manage.
It’s unclear why he was allowed to name any of his teammates, and his memory wasn’t erased when he started the process.

He Had The Most Partners

Despite the fact that he was unable to pilot at the start of the series, he has piloted the most franxx and ridden with the most partners. While 002 is the only one with whom he is totally compatible, this demonstrates Hiro’s versatility.

The fact that he had such a hard time piloting with others was most likely owing to the fact that he had 002’s blood in him since he was a child.

Different In The Manga

In the manga, Hiro’s story takes a turn for the worst at the end. 002 and Hiro do not die in the manga and go on to live a regular life amongst the remaining parasites on Earth. This is an interesting take on the conclusion, but it doesn’t tell much about the couple’s future.

The manga is the way to go if you want a happier ending than what was presented in the anime.

He Rides With Mitsuru In The Manga

While it is never done in the anime, Mitsuru and Hiro pledged to ride together when they were younger, and the manga allows this to happen. This is significant since same-sex couples aren’t supposed to be able to pilot a franxx together.

Hiro forgot about this vow during his memory wipe, but he made care to keep it in the manga, much to the surprise of many fans.

His Piloting Obsession Isn’t Natural

Hiro never had a natural passion with piloting; when he was changed after meeting 002, it was added in place of his unwanted personality. Hiro was willing to sacrifice his own life since he has been trained to believe that his life is meaningless until he can use a franxx.

This is seen all the way until the end of the show, and despite his love for 002, he never seems to get over it.
